In the department for accident, hand and reconstructive surgery, Wolfart Hospital treats all injuries and the consequences of injuries, from simple leisure, sport and household accidents through to the most serious multiple injuries.
The treatment spectrum comprises the entire field of accident surgery including minimal-invasive techniques. The main diagnostic and therapeutic areas of focus are all the injuries of the upper and lower extremities as well as bone injuries and soft tissue wounds. All the current modern osteosynthesis procedures including the so-called angle-stable implants and marrow cavity splinting are used.
In reconstructive surgery constitutional or accident-related injuries are corrected surgically. All injuries or malformations of the hand are treated in the frame of hand surgery . This also includes reconstruction after injuries to the tendons and the suture of vessels and nerve injuries using microsurgical technology. |
