We specialise in the following areas in the department of General Surgery:
- Abdomen surgery
Laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques are used for minimal-invasive procedures in abdomen surgery, e.g. for gallbladder, small intestine and hernia operations (e.g. inguinal hernias and umbilical hernias). In particular, we use open abdomen surgery for the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract.
- Rectal surgery
In this department we use all the modern procedures of rectal surgery. One of our main areas of focus is the treatment of haemorrhoids, e.g. stapler operations.
- Thyroid gland surgery
- Varicose vein operations
- Shunt surgery
