Gynaecology

The surgical treatment of gynaecological diseases includes all the operations of general gynaecology, such as curettage, hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, vaginal hysterectomy or hysterectomy by means of an abdominal incision, operations for repair of the bladder (urinary incontinence) and breast operations.

Whenever possible and sensible, we perform organ-maintaining operations (e. g. resection of myoma instead of a hysterectomy, enucleation of ovarian cysts instead of removal of the ovary). Many operations are performed using minimal-invasive measures. This facilitates faster recovery and return to everyday life.

The surgical therapy of patients with malignant gynaecological tumours and breast tumours is in line with the published recommendations of the Tumour Centre in Munich . Our contact with the Tumour Centre in Munich is close because several of our general practitioners are members of different project groups and one of our general practitioners is the deputy leader of the project group, Malignant Tumour of the Uterus, at the Tumour Centre.
