Obstetrics

The doctors, midwives and nurses of the obstetrics department of Wolfart Hospital have made it their business to understand all the needs of the expectant parents. They want to accompany the parents-to-be throughout the entire pregnancy right through to an individual and happy birth. The entire team is available to provide advice and at the same time guarantees reliable medical care of the highest standard.

An anthroposophic sculptor designed our delivery rooms and created a calm and personal atmosphere – despite the technological equipment which is required for the safety of the mother and child. All methods of pain relief, including natural and homeopathic methods, are available and used in agreement with the mothers. Experienced midwives and the gynaecologist, whom most patients get to know from the medical care provided during the pregnancy, provide the care during the birth and afterwards. In our hospital mother and child are looked after together on a holistic basis by a nurse with all-round training.

In addition, our experienced team of anaesthetists are available round-the-clock to provide pain relief during the birth (epidural anaesthesia). As a result surgical interventions which are possibly required (e.g. "gentle section" in accordance with Misgav-Ladach) can be performed quickly and safely.

In accordance with the wishes of the mother we offer rooming-in or use of a family room together with her partner.
