We have a special department at Wolfart Hospital for the care of newborns: the consultant department for paediatrics and neonatology which consists of twelve experienced paediatricians and neonatologists. These doctors do daily visits to all the newborns. As a result possible adaptation disorders can be recognised and treated appropriately immediately. All our paediatricians have many years experience in neonatology and the paediatric care of newborns.

Paediatric allergologists, two paediatric cardiologists, a paediatric endocrinologist and a doctor specialising in diabetes are available to deal with special questions. In the hospital we perform all preventive medical examinations and sonographies of the hip joint and the organs of the abdomen, hearing tests, ultrasound of the skull, ultrasound of the draining urinary tract for early detection of damage to the kidneys and the urinary bladder and other supplementary examinations for health checks and early detection.
